Lee-Sturgis House at Marion, AL (built ca. 1898, listed on the NRHP)

Built about 1898 by Lane Lee, this house is typical of late Victorian cottage style prevalent from 1890 to 1910. Features of the house include a wraparound porch with decorative posts and bannisters. The front room on the north side has a bay window that extends beyond the porch. This house is a contributing property to the “West Marion Historic District” that’s listed on the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP). It is located at 1204 S.Washington Street in Marion (GPS coordinates 32.622083,-87.317734).
