This is a tranquil 1,080-acre park that includes a beautiful 100-acre lake that is surrounded by hardwood and southern pine woodlands. The park has modern campsites located on the edge of the lake. There are also primitive campsites for those who are more adventurous. Visitors can rent a canoe or small boat for fishing or exploring. The park has playgrounds and several picnic areas with tables and barbecue grills for day users. Pavilions are available for family reunions, birthday parties and other special events. The park also has several miles of hiking trails winding through the forest that surrounds the lake. It is a featured Black Belt birding site on the Alabama Birding Trails.
