This is a 2 ½ story Queen Anne style home with Neo-Classical influences. It was built ca. 1893 by Ernest Lamar, who was responsible for the final construction of the First Baptist Church on Lauderdale. The house features a wraparound porch supported by urn shaped columns with Ionic capitals.
This home is a contributing property to Selma’s “Old Town Historic District” that was added to the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP) on May 3, 1978. It is located at 327 Church Street in Selma (GPS coordinates 32.40987,-87.023939).
