Strother’s Antique Implement Park at Gastonburg, AL

Museums & Rural Art | Gastonburg in Wilcox County

Several years ago, Claude Strother set a piece of old farm equipment beside Highway 5 at Gastonburg which is located in western Wilcox County. Later, he added another piece. He has continued adding pieces over the years and now this has become an impressive collection of mule-driven and steel-wheel farm equipment dating to the early part of the 20th century. In 2007, this collection was designed as a Master Gardener Project by Karen Weir and established as “Antique Implement Park”. Each piece contains a marker which specifies the type of equipment and the name of the person who donated it.

The “Antique Implement Park” is located on the west side of Highway 5 in Gastonburg (GPS Coordinates: 32.208750,-87.436722).
