The Burnt Corn Methodist Church was organized in 1908. The congregation met in the Masonic Lodge located on the second floor of the Kyser-Betts Store, which also served as the post office and a local gathering place. until their church building could be built. Their new church was completed in 1913. It was a simple one-story frame building with a corner-attached bell tower. Eventually the attendance of the church declined, and it closed in around 1960. Today, this church and the other historic buildings in Burnt Corn are maintained by the J.F.B. Lowrey Trust. The Burnt Corn Methodist Church is a contributing property to the Burnt Corn Historic District that was added to the Alabama Register of Heritage and Landmarks in 1993.

The Burnt Corn Methodist Church is located near downtown Burnt Corn (Google Maps: 31.550779, -87.159151).
