Adams-Stanford-Steen Home at Pine Apple, AL (built c. 1870; listed on the NRHP)

Judge and Mrs. Johnathan Newberry Stanford owned this home in the mid-1880s.  He served as Judge of Probate for Wilcox County from 1907-1917.  The house features double front doors with rounded-head “Italianate” windows and a semi-circular transom light with two panes.  The recessed porch rests on wooden piers on brick bases.  This home was remodeled in 1977.

This home is a contributing property to the Pine Apple Historic District that’s listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It is located beside Highway 10 on the north side of Pine Apple, AL (GPS coordinates 31.860000,-86.985639 )
